Everything happens inside your browser. There is no account, no sign in, no server and no tracking. Nothing is ever uploaded anywhere.
What it does
- Finds every picture on the ChatGPT page you have open
- Shows them to you first, so you can untick any you do not want
- Saves them all into a folder you name
- Names each file after the prompt that made it, or numbers them in order
- Or packs the whole set into a single ZIP file
It also skips pictures you already saved, so a second run on a long chat grabs only the fresh ones.
How to use it
- Pin it to your toolbar. Click the puzzle piece icon at the top right of Chrome, find Relay Image Saver, and click the pin beside it.
- Open your ChatGPT chat and scroll through it once, so every picture has loaded.
- Click the Relay Image Saver icon and press Scan this page.
- Untick anything you do not want, then press Save as files or Save as one ZIP.
Your files land in your Downloads folder, inside the folder you named.
Common questions
Where do my files go?
Into your Downloads folder, inside a folder you choose the name of. The default is relay-images. You can also switch on date folders, so each run lands in its own dated folder.
It says no pictures found, but I can see them.
Scroll all the way through the chat first. ChatGPT only loads pictures as you reach them, so anything you have not scrolled past is not on the page yet. Then press Scan this page again.
Some small pictures are missing.
Open Where and how to save and lower the minimum size. That setting exists so profile pictures and small icons are left out, but it can also skip a genuinely small image.
Can I save just one picture?
Yes. Right click the picture on the page and choose Relay Image Saver from the menu.
Is there a keyboard shortcut?
Yes. Press Alt then Shift then S to save everything on the page using your last settings.
Does it work on anything other than ChatGPT?
No. It only runs on chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com, and it has no permission to see any other website.
Does it send my data anywhere?
No. There is no server and no account. Your settings and your saved list stay on your own computer and are deleted when you remove the extension. The full details are in the privacy policy.
How do I clear the list of pictures it remembers?
Open Where and how to save and press Forget saved pictures. That clears the record of what you already saved, so the next run treats everything as new.
